(From Westfield Chapel)Robert Terrance Walnofer, 74, entered his eternal rest on September 4, 2025, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Born on June 28, 1951, in Norfolk, Nebraska, to Bob and Bernadine (Thramer) Walnofer, Terry was the eldest of eleven children.
Terry graduated from Ewing High School in Ewing, Nebraska, in 1969 and moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas, in 1973 before settling in Charleston, Arkansas, in 1990. Over the years, he worked as a cattle dealer and later owned several small businesses. Since January 2024, Terry resided at Grand Brook Memory Care in Rogers, Arkansas, and he passed away at Circle of Life Hospice Care in Springdale, Arkansas.
As a member of Harvest Time Tabernacle in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Terry joyfully served in the usher ministry. He credited a Power Team ministry event he attended in 1999 at Harvest Time as the moment he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Known for his love of oldies rock & roll, muscle cars, and never missing a chance to steal the spotlight on the dance floor, Terry brought joy and energy wherever he went.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie, of Tontitown, Arkansas; his children, Nate (Mel) Easterling of Santa Monica, California, Lisa (Kenny) Jones of Springdale, Arkansas, and Robert “Scott” (Kristen) Walnofer of Bentonville, Arkansas; and his seven grandchildren, Maddox, Brecken, Robert “Asa,” Scarlett, Eli, Ava, and Molly—who will forever know him as their beloved Papaw. He is also survived by his siblings Carmen (Bill) Richmond of Grant, Nebraska; Tom Walnofer of Ewing, Nebraska; Steve (Ray) Walnofer of Jasper, Missouri; Nancy (Vince) Price of Lincoln, Nebraska; Kathy (Gregg) Bartak of Ewing, Nebraska; Jill (Randy) Switzer of Ewing, Nebraska; Ted (Karla) Walnofer of Tea, South Dakota; Al (Brenda) Walnofer of Chambers, Nebraska; and Rod (Kelly) Walnofer of Van Alstyne, Texas; his brother-in-law, Mark (Connie) Anderson of Miami, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Paulette Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale: www.circleoflifecare.org/donate.
Condolences may be sent to the immediate family at 985 Fair Oaks St., Tontitown, AR 72762.
