(From Fohn Funeral Home)Curtis Cazzell, age 87, of Lamar, Missouri passed away Friday, July 17, 2026 at Truman Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Lamar.
He was born October 19, 1938 in Whitesboro, Texas, the son of Denton and Rose Cazzell. He was united in marriage to Cynthia Ritchie, who preceded him in death. Also Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother and two sisters.
Surviving are his son, Chris Cazzell and wife Adale of Mansfield, Missouri; daughters, Connie Moore of Walnut Grove, Missouri, Cathey Dickinson and husband Gordon of Springfield, Missouri, and Carol Wright and husband Carl of Springfield, Missouri; nine grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Curtis grew up and attended school in White Hall, Texas. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Following his military service, Curtis worked as a welder for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and could often be found working on tractors and other equipment.
Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
