Mary Kathleen McHone, age 71, Joplin, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at National Health Center of Joplin.
Mary was born October 18, 1944 in San Francisco, California, daughter of the late Theodore and Frances Pepper. She has been a stay at home mom, and enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Joplin, and was known for being very talkative when engaged in conversation. She was also known to let everyone know when she was around, and you could hear her talking over most other conversations. She will be missed by family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert McHone, Sr. who died July 1, 2012.
Survivors include her children, Kathy Spry and husband Michael, and Gilbert "Bert" McHone, Jr. all of Joplin; grandchildren, Christian Spry, Michael Spry, Jr., and Kyle Spry; great-granddaughter, Amber Spry; brother, Dan Pepper, and sister, Lynn Martinelli and husband Angelino all of Denver, Colorado; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
