Bonnie Betz

Bonnie Jean Betz of Carl Junction, Missouri passed away on November 2, 2018.

Bonnie was born May 24, 1929 in St. Joe, Arkansas to the late Lon and Lula Hunter Daniel. She lived the early part of her life in Arkansas before moving to Carl Junction in 1943 with her family.
Bonnie went to school in Carl Junction and cosmetology school in Joplin. She worked at several different jobs over her life, including Elder's Manufacturing, Ronnie's Hair Styling Salon, as well as owning her own hair styling salon in Carl Junction. 

She married James Betz on October 29, 1949 in Bentonville, Arkansas. Bonnie was an active church member. She attended Smithfield Christian Church, Carl Junction Christian Church and Park Plaza Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; two brothers, E.L. Daniel and R.B. Daniel and a sister, LaVada Stephens.

Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Marshall and husband, George, Miami, Oklahoma; a son, Paul Betz, Carl Junction; a granddaughter, Megan Marshall, Webb City; and several nieces, nephews and many friends. 

Services are planned for Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Park Plaza Christian Church. B.A. Austin, minister, and David Stephens will officiate. Interment will follow at Carl Junction Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, in care of Parker Mortuary. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
