(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Barbara L. Berry, age 83 of Galena, KS., passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the Westgate Nursing Center in Joplin, MO.
Barbara was born on May 15, 1938, in Verona, MO., the daughter of Oren and Irene (Ohlhausen) Mann. She resided in the Verona/Aurora area for many years where she raised her family until she retired in 2001. Barbara was a member of the First Baptist Church in Riverton, KS.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Greg Ballard, and by five brothers, Paul, Gene, Don, Louis, and Jay Mann, and her twin sister Sandra Thurman.
She is survived by son; Dale Ballard of Joplin, her daughter; Kristi Martin and husband Chris of Galena, one sister; Shirley Olsen, Everett, WA., six grandchildren; Elizabeth Ballard, Allison Ballard, Olivia Ballard, Kyle Martin (Logan), Kenyon Martin and Kamden Martin, and two great-grandchildren; Blakely Martin and Landon Martin.
Graveside services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2022, at Calton Cemetery in Verona, MO. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation on Sunday, March 6 at the funeral home from 3 to 4 p.m.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
