Cindi Thomas

Cynthia "Cindi" Marie Thomas, age 65, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away at 11:35 a.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022, at her home. She was born December 20, 1956, in Joplin, Missouri, to the late Nelson and Jemina (Hawksford) Thomas.

Survivors include her two daughters, Liana “Nykkie” Mahaffey of Rogers, Arkansas, and Andrea “Andi” Russell and her husband Ryne of Springfield, Missouri, eight grandchildren; Andru, Hayden, Lauren, and Cooper Jacobs, Alexandria Mahaffey, Christopher and Johnathan White, and Chase Jones; two sisters, Karen Thomas (husband Greg Smith) and Patty Pogue, both of Springfield, Missouri; and one brother, Michael Thomas (wife Tara) of Neosho. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.








She is preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Jemina Thomas and brothers, Todd Thomas, and Matthew Thomas.

Cynthia was a lifelong area resident and animal advocate, adopting many animals through the years. She was passionate about her nursing career and taking care of her patients. She loved her children, family, and pets. She loved dancing, listening to music, and reading.

A graveside service will be held at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin, MO, Friday, March 4, at 2pm. The family welcomes friends to join them for the graveside service.
