(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Dianna Lynn Atkins, age 59, passed away at 4:14am, Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Freeman West, Joplin, MO following an illness.
Dianna was born August 5, 1962 in Baxter Springs, KS. Her parents were Franklin D and Rosemary Joyce (Lamb) Ray. She had lived in the Four State region all of her life.
She was a caretaker and nurse. She had worked several years at Guest Home Estates in Pittsburg, KS. She enjoyed Stay vacations, country road driving, gardening and caring for her fur babies. Her greatest joy was being with her kids and grandchildren.
She was married to Ricky Dale Atkins on August 14, 1978 in Columbus, KS. He survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Ricky Dale Atkins his wife, Mandie, Girard, KS and Phillip Atkins his wife, Amber, Arma, KS one brother, Randy McDaniels, The Village, FL; three sisters, Rhonda McDaniels, Pittsburg, KS, Renee McDaniels Stockton, and her husband, Rick, Joplin, and Tammie Benham and her husband, Charlie, Pittsburg; and five grandchildren, Austin Atkins, Rosemary Atkins, Kalib Johnston, Kayla Johnston, and Laura Milliner and her husband, Michael.
She was preceded in death by one infant son, Gabriel, her parents, and one sister, Kandi Martin.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS
