Bob Fisher

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Robert “Bob” Babbitt Fisher, age 67, of Neosho, Missouri, formerly of Littleton, Colorado, passed away suddenly at 8:03 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

He was born April 7, 1955, in Trenton, New Jersey, the son of the late Marvin and Phyllis (Babbitt) Fisher.

Bob or "Bubba" as he was affectionately known by his friends and bandmates, graduated high school in Marlboro, Massachusetts, and attended Berklee College of Music.

On September 22, 1996, he married Julia Lee Black in Littleton, Colorado.

Bob was a music enthusiast. He started playing the clarinet in junior high school and performed professionally at 14. Bob wrote music and played it by ear. He taught himself how to play various wind instruments, specifically the saxophone, flute, piccolo, keyboard, and electric bass guitar. His favorite was the tenor saxophone. Bob played and wrote music for several bands throughout his lifetime. He had the pleasure of studying tenor sax under the direction of the renowned saxophonist Joe Viola of Boston. Bob felt blessed to have such a natural talent and one he could enjoy professionally and personally.

In addition to his career in music, Bob owned a construction company and worked alongside his brother at his fencing company. He later worked as a crew supervisor for Split Rail Fence.

Survivors include his wife, Julie of Neosho; four daughters, Rhonda (Adam) Daughterson of Broomfield, Colorado, Amanda (Jeremy) Law of Ken Caryl, Colorado, Anna Blair of Erie, Colorado, Christina (Jeff) Kidwell of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; and five grandchildren.

His brother, Christopher Fisher, preceded him in death along with his parents.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
