Linda Messer

Linda K. Messer, age 74, of Webb City, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Landmark Hospital in Joplin.

Linda, daughter of the late James and Frankie (Johnson) Jones, was born on September 4, 1947 in Sand Springs, OK. 

She was previously employed with Midcon Cables Company as a Lead Inspector for over 30 years until her retirement. She was a devoted mother and grandmother always giving of herself for others. She was a second Mother to many. 








Her bubbly energy and sassy attitude was infectious. She loved the outdoors, animals and being in her garden. She enjoyed the nights playing Bunko with her friends and traveling. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her children, Teresa Pendley, and her husband, Jeramy, of Webb City, Todd Messer, of Lowell, Troy Messer, of Boise, ID; grandchildren, Mason Messer, Sasha Messer, Chase Messer, Evelyn Chatterton, Lynsee DeGraw, Trayse DeGraw, Tayva Pendley, and Avery Pendley; her brothers, Gary Jones, of Greensville, SC, and James “Buster” Jones and wife Krystal, of Carl Junction; a sister-in-law, Judy Neilson, and her husband, Carl, of Kansas City; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Judy Giles and Sue Jackson.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary in Joplin with private family inurnment at a later date.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
