(From Knell Mortuary)Andrea Christine Teed, 53, Carthage, Missouri, a beacon of love and selflessness, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, January 3, 2025, at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, Missouri. She was born on October 10, 1971, in Tucson, Arizona, the daughter of Douglas Alan Biskie, Sr. and Della Christine (Sharpless) Biskie. Andrea's life was a testament to her enduring kindness and thoughtful nature.
Andrea's early years were spent in the sunny city of Tucson, where she attended Catalina Magnet High School. Her love for helping others led her to pursue a career in nursing. She received her LPN Degree from Crowder College and dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. Andrea's compassion and dedication to her patients were evident in every aspect of her work.
Beyond her professional achievements, Andrea was an incredibly artistic soul. Her creativity knew no bounds, whether she was capturing the world through her photography, creating beautiful paintings, sewing, or getting lost in a good book. Andrea's love for football also brought her great joy, providing spirited moments shared with family and friends.
However, the true highlight of Andrea's life was her role as a mother. She was a guiding star to her daughters. Her love for her children was unmatched, and she cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that they will hold dear forever.
Survivors include her daughters, Kaitlyn Teed, Carthage, Abigail Teed, Carthage, and Amy Morgenthau, Ithica, New York; her father, Douglas Alan Biskie, Sr., Carthage; her sister, Darlene Biskie, Carthage; and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Della Christine (Sharpless) Biskie; her brothers, Benjamin Biskie, and Douglas Biskie, Jr.; and her sister, Angella Biskie. Andrea's memory will be a comforting presence for those who mourn her passing, as they remember her life lived with purpose and grace.

Memorial services will be held 1 pm, Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Forest Park Baptist Church, Carthage. The family asks those who are in attendance to wear bright and colorful clothing to honor Andrea.
