Tessa Pogue

Tessa Laree Pogue, age 42, Neosho, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at Mercy of Joplin after a sudden illness.

Tessa was born February 13, 1982 in Joplin, daughter of the late Melba (Pogue) Smith. She grew up in the Joplin area, and graduated from Webb City High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and was known as a great cook. She enjoyed listening to music, and was also fond of all her animals which she spoiled. She really enjoyed spending time with her son, Avery. She will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, Tessa was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Smith, and a half sister, Barbara Smith, and her maternal grandmother, Alma Tanner.

Survivors include her son, Avery Logan of Joplin; ½ brothers, Randall Smith and wife Shirley of Iola, KS, and Frank Smith and wife Brenda of KS; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and one nephew.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary with inurnment of her ashes in a niche at Osborne Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
