Tim Walker

Timothy Michael Walker, 68, of Pittsburg, passed away at 1:23 p.m., Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

He was born July 25, 1956 in Pittsburg, to Frank Ronald and Gertrude Mary (Gallagher) Walker. He attended school at St. Mary’s and graduated from Colgan High School.

On May 9, 2002, he was united in marriage to Roxanne Pearson in Miami, Florida.








Tim was a route salesman for The Bama Companies in Tulsa and later for Landshire Products. He also helped his son do landscaping in the Tulsa area.

Membership was held in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac. In his youth, Tim was very athletic and enjoyed all sports, but excelled in baseball. He played at Connors State College in Warner, Oklahoma on a scholarship. Tim enjoyed watching local sports and the Kansas City Chiefs.

In addition to his wife, Roxanne of the home, he is survived by two sons, Chad Walker of Tulsa, OK and Gabe Walker (Jestine) of Tulsa, OK; a daughter, Brooke Rogers (Jacob) of Tulsa, OK; three stepsons, Cory Peak (Jena) of Asbury, MO, Christopher Peak (Michelle) of Carthage, MO, and Matthew Peak (Krista) of Webb City, MO; two brothers, Ron Walker of Florida and Michael Walker of Pittsburg; four sisters, Susie Edwards of Kansas City, MO, Jody Flora of Pittsburg, Nancy Daugherty of Pittsburg, and Marilyn Short of Frontenac; four grandchildren, Kinzlee Walker, Cashton Walker, Lily Walker and Nora Rogers; and eight step-grandchildren, Kendall Peak, Keaton Peak, Kelsey Peak, Aubree Peak, Ainslee Peak, Sylas Peak, Kolbie Peak and Kase Peak.






He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Cheryl Rapp and Debby Smith; three nephews, Shawn Kissane, Jeremy Rapp and Tony Short; and a niece, Sariah Cochran.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday (January 21st) at the Brenner Mortuary with Fr. Caleb Kurstersteffen officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be given to the J.L. Hutchinson Baseball League.
