Mrs. JoAnn Lavon Niblett, 71, of Powell, Missouri, departed this life on Friday afternoon, November 1, 2019, in the comfort of her home after years of failing health.
JoAnn entered this life on February 13, 1948 in Mesa, Arizona, daughter of the late Joseph and Elma (Sargent) Davis. She was raised and attended school in Mesa, Arizona.
On April 1, 1967, she was united in marriage to Loren Niblett and to this union one son was born. They resided in Arizona and California before moving to Powell, Missouri, in 1979. Besides being a homemaker, JoAnn worked as a bookkeeper at Armstrong Bank in Pineville, the Jane Hatchery, Wal-Mart and was a hairdresser by trade. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and quilting. She was a member of the Anderson Ward of the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. 1999-2000, she and Loren enjoyed a mission trip to Nauvoo, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, James Wayne Niblett.
Joann is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Loren Niblett of the home; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Cowan Ridge Cemetery in Powell, Missouri, with Bishop Toby Henson officiating. No formal visitation will be held. On-line condolences may be sent to the family through our website, www.ozarkfuneralhome.com.
