Klarissa Louise Burns, age 51, Carl Junction, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019 at her home after a long battle with several medical issues.
Klarissa was born January 6, 1968 in Waco, Texas, and lived in several locations as a child following her father's military career. She graduated from Sand Springs High School, and then Platt College in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She worked as an LPN for years in Oklahoma, and moved to Joplin in 2003.
She loved her family, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Faubush.
Survivors include her husband, Max Burns of Carl Junction; children, Krystal Quinn (Justin) of Bolivar, Missouri, Chad Uselton (Marszy) of Houston, Texas, Amanda Simpson of Houston, Texas, Tristan Burns of Joplin, Macy Standridge of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sara Adamson of Joplin, and Racheal Crow of Tulsa; grandchildren, Cole, Leana, Kris, and Zoie; her mother, Ellen Faubush of Joplin; a sister, April Faubush of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
A celebration of Klarissa's life will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019 beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the family home in Carl Junction. Friends are invited to come and share stories with the family.
