James Ralston

James Ralston, age 58, of Webb City, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Mr. Ralston, son of Harold Ralston and Norma (McDonald) Riley, was born on October 2, 1961 in Joplin. He was a lifelong resident of the Joplin area and was employed as a salesman for various companies in Joplin.

He honorably served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during that time. He enjoyed being outdoors and was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan. He enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren.








Survivors include his mother, Norma (McDonald) Riley, and her husband, Thomas, of Carthage; two daughters, Tiffany Hayner, and her husband, Romeo, of Webb City, and Cassandra McDonald, and her husband, Terrence, of Webb City; one brother, Charles “Chuck” Ralston, and his wife, Vicki, of Carthage; one half-brother, Jimmy Marple, and his wife, Robin, of Dardanelle, AR; two half-sisters, Pam Bost, and her husband, Tony, of Russellville, AR, and Kathy Porter, and her husband, James, of Conway, AR; and one step-sister, Jane Poole and husband Leonard, Carthage, Mo.; three grandchildren, Keegan and Khaliah McDonald, and Mikey Reneau Jr., all of Webb City. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Ralston.

The family will receive friends for a time of memorial visitation on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary in Joplin. Private burial will be held at a later date. To honor James, everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite Kansas City Chiefs apparel.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory, Joplin.
