The family traveled with his father’s constructions jobs, and he attended schools in various places. In 1963, the family purchased a small farm in Stella, Missouri. David attended school in Stella and graduated from East Newton High School in 1971. He worked with his father in the real estate business as an agent for Midwest Land Rush. He then worked as a mortgage broker in the banking industry.

In 2000, he established the Show Me Real Estate Company and worked until his retirement in 2022. He served on both local, state, and national committees. David was a devoted Christian and a member of the Sweetwater Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. David loved to share the love of Christ with others and was a Gideon. He served on the board of KNEO, and he had a weekly prayer group with several local pastors of all denominations to pray for their needs.

Pastor Tom Casady, II, shares this about David – ‘David was the definition of a Godly Man. To my knowledge he never told God no! He was always looking for someone to help…Just like Jesus. David loved to travel with his wife, Jeanna; they loved the dessert, collecting rocks, hiking the Southwest, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas and they had visited almost all of the National parks in their travels.

On October 23, 1970, in the community of Bethpage, David married his childhood sweetheart, Jeanna Martin and they shared fifty-three wonderful years together.
