Tammy Lynn Dawson, age 57, of Jay, Oklahoma, passed away on September 12, 2024, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born on December 8, 1966, in Gravette, Arkansas to Bill and Nina Kay Cooper,

She spent her childhood in Southwest City, Missouri, and was a proud graduate of McDonald County High School in Anderson, Missouri. Her career as a caregiver for home health allowed her to touch many lives with her kindness and dedication to those in her care.

She had a vibrant personality, finding joy in coloring, and she held a special affection for owls, flowers, and anything purple. These simple pleasures brought great happiness to Tammy.

Tammy is survived by her mother, Nina Kay Cooper of Jay, Oklahoma; her daughter, Carlissa McCumber (James), of Galena, Kansas; her son, Ben Shoemaker of Anderson, Missouri; and four adored grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Cooper.

Nichols-Stephens Funeral & Cremation Services in Grove, Oklahoma is handling the arrangements. No services are planned currently. Tammy's life will be celebrated and remembered for the warmth and care she extended to everyone she met. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on through her family and all those she impacted.
