(From Lakin Funeral Home)Douglas “Doug” Rex Clark, age 78, passed away peacefully at his residence in Sarcoxie, Missouri on May 31, 2025. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones. Doug was born September 17, 1946, in Lima, Ohio to James and Alice Clark who preceded him in death. Doug married Nancy Kay (Miller) Clark. They were married 53 years until her passing in 2017.
Doug was an avid hunter and loved to fish, but his real passion was taking old Harley's and getting them back in road worthy condition. He enjoyed these hobbies with his sons, and his sons were his most prized possessions. He will be missed dearly but we know we will see him again in heaven.
Surviving are the following: his brothers, Terry (Sharon) Clark of Florida, Gil (Lois) Clark of Ohio, and Pat (Chis) Clark of Ohio; four sons, Steve (Sharon) Clark of Stark City, MO, Jim (Jennifer) Clark of Joplin, MO, Mitch (Susie) Clark of Diamond, MO, and Matt (Diana) Clark of Sarcoxie, MO; his loving companion, Carol Klein; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Doug has been cremated at his request. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
