(From Lakin Funeral Home)Connie Sue Carr, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at her home in Monett, MO. She was born in Monett, MO on Wednesday, March 5, 1947; daughter of Bill and Ruth (Goetz) Etter. Connie was married to William "Bill" Carr on Thursday, December 24, 1964, in Monett, MO. She was a 1965 graduate of Monett High school.
She spent many years in accounts payable working at MRC in Mt. Vernon, Walmart, Roaring River, Rising Fenix Truck Company, and Aurora Nursing Home. She also worked at Nestleroad's office.
Connie enjoyed beautiful flowers in the yard, gardening, cooking, camping, fishing, playing at the casino, and taking rides on the back country roads. She enjoyed listening to country music, Connie attended First Presbyterian Church in Monett. She most cherished her family and grandchildren who she loved to spend time with and enjoyed watching them play softball. She will be missed by many.
Surviving are the following: her husband, Bill of Monett, MO; one son, Douglas Carr of Republic, MO; one daughter, Jennifer Prevo of Joplin, MO; and two grandchildren, Paige Carr and Kaysie Carr both of Republic, MO; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Those welcoming Connie to heaven include her parents, Bill and Ruth Etter; and four siblings, Bobby Etter, George Etter, Billy Etter, and Robbie Donaldson.
Graveside service will be at Monett I.O.O.F. in Monett, MO on Monday, June 23, 2025. beginning at 6:00 PM with Rev. Mike Tharp officiating. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
