(From Lakin Funeral Home)Rosemary Boes, age 88, of Pierce City, MO passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO. She was born at home in Lawrence County, MO on Thursday, December 24, 1936; daughter of Joseph Edward and Bertha Jane (Eck) Elbert. Rosemary was a 1954 graduate of Pierce City High School.
She married Bernard "Bud" Boes on Saturday, April 14, 1956, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Sarcoxie, MO.
She was very talented and spent time painting, crafting, and sewing. She was a homemaker; making clothes for the kids, gardening, canning, cooking, and baking. She was also a pig farmer and raised many pigs over the years. Rosemary enjoyed planting and raising flowers. Once Bud retired, they enjoyed traveling together. Rosemary also liked playing cards with others. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and St. Agnes Catholic Church. She will be missed by many.
Surviving are the following: four children, Edward (Cindy) Boes of Jasper, MO, Stephen Boes of Pierce City, MO, Janet (Paul) Brown of Carthage, MO, and Philip (Suzanne) Boes of Jefferson City, MO; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Cheryl Elbert of Pierce City, MO; and many friends.
Those welcoming her to heaven include her husband, Bud Boes; parents, Joseph and Bertha; and a brother, Kenneth Elbert.

A Prayer Service/Rosary will be at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, beginning at 6:00 PM with visitation to follow until 7:30 PM.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Sarcoxie, MO on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, beginning at 10:30 AM with Father Matt Rehrauer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery in Sarcoxie, MO. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
