Francis Adams

Francis Raymond Adams, age 93, of South Greenfield, Missouri, passed away at 4:45 a.m. on Sunday June 21, 2026, at his home. He was born February 20, 1933, in Lichen, Colorado, the son of Lauren Adolpus and Jule Lavern (Fastnight) Adams.

Francis was a 1952 graduate of Elsmore High School in Elsmore, Kansas. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was cattle farmer and worked as a machine operator for the Paul Muller Company, in Springfield, Missouri, for thirty-five years.

On October 7, 1956, he married Dorthy Elaine Johnson, in Prairie Village, Kansas. She preceded him in death on November 11, 2020.








Francis is survived by his son, Gary Adams and his wife, Tammy, of South Greenfield, Missouri; one grandson, Preston Adams of South Greenfield, Missouri; two granddaughters, Kambi Grabrielson and her husband, Jared, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri and Tori Morris and her husband, Ryan, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, and their mother, Cindy Jones, of Miller, Missouri; one great-granddaughter, Zoe and several nieces and nephews.

Francis was preceded in death by his parents, Lauren, and Jule Adams; one son, Mike Adams; one grandson, Andrew Carr; four brothers, Bill, Buck, Orvan, and Albert Adams and one sister, Dorthy Byers.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Pennsboro Cemetery in Pennsboro, Missouri.
