Noble Duane Powers, age 69, of Pittsburg, Kansas, passed away Friday, June 3, 2016, at Golden Living Center.
Duane was born June 6, 1946, in Baxter County, Arkansas, one of the eight children of Henry and Emily (Taylor) Powers. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mildred Powers; and a brother, Virgil Powers.
After graduating from Lamar High School in 1964, Duane earned an associate's degree and had worked as an accountant in a public accounting firm for many years. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard.
Survivors include a brother, Vernon (Helen) Powers, Phoenix, Arizona; four sisters, Wilma Smith, Ash Flat, Arkansas, Barbara (Don) McCoy, McLoud, Oklahoma, Sylvia (Clayton) Adair, Girard, Kansas, and Ernestine Dacus, Lindsay, Oklahoma; and a large extended family.
Burial will be in Morehead Cemetery with a private committal service at a later date
