Gloria Jane Louise Sliger, age 75, Joplin, passed away at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Mercy Hospital after an illness.
Gloria was born March 23, 1941 in Webb City, Missouri to the late Donnie C. Hall and Leota Louise Carver Hall and had lived in the Joplin area all of her life.
She worked as a bus driver for the Head Start program in Webb City for five years. A homemaker, she was fond of arts and crafts; enjoyed fixing old watches and tinkering with toys. Gloria was a devoted wife; mother; grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed by all that knew her.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by a brother, Allen C. Hall.
Survivors include her husband, William E. Sliger; children, Curtis L. Miller, Bruce D. Miller, Leonard C. Miller, Janie R. Treadway, Victor A. Miller, Alonda K. Asher, Paul T. Miller, Larry D. Miller, William E. Sliger, Jr., Kenneth Sliger; three sisters, Pansy Lett, Carolyn Cupp, LeEtta Riddle; 35 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
Graveside services are planned for Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. David Gartner and Leonard Miller will officiate. The family will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
