Erman “Lee” Myers, age 70 of Webb City, Mo., went home to be with the Lord early Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Erman was born on May 2, 1946 in Webb City, the son of Clinton and Alma (Hall) Myers. He has been a lifetime area resident, he was the manager of One Hour Cleaners in Joplin, Mo. for 38 years before retiring in 2008. Erman attended Frisco Church in Webb City.
He married Evelyn Dickson on April 2, 1965, she survives. Additional survivors include one daughter; Christy Toppings and husband Gary of Galena, Ks., one son; Duane Myers and wife Karla of Diamond, Mo., four sisters; Thelma Doolen of Alpharetta, Ga., Christine Greek and husband Garry of Carterville, Mo., Beatrice Tryon and husband Grant of Carthage, Mo., Claudia Walker and husband Stan of Joplin, four brothers; C.J. Myers and wife Sharon of Carthage, Ralph Myers of Carthage, Gordon Myers and wife Connie of Carterville, Alva Myers and wife Jan of France, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Erman was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Lyla Mrotek.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2016 at Frisco Church in Webb City. Pastors Matt Snyder and Ron Crow, will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Carthage. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from to 6 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Samaritans Basket Food Pantry in care of the funeral home.
