William “Bill” Beverly Goad of Commerce, OK passed from this life Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO. He was 75.
Bill was born August 22, 1945 in Miami, OK to Charles Elmer and Flora Mae (Barbee) Goad. He had lived in the Commerce area all his life.
Bill graduated from Commerce High School in 1964. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and worked for U.S. Postal Service in Miami for 29 years before retiring. Bill was of the Assembly of God faith, and was a lifetime member of the DAV of Miami and American Legion Post 147 of Miami.
Bill was preceded in death by 1 son, Johnathan Goad, his parents and 1 sister, Oleta Wade.
Bill is survived by his wife Elizabeth Ann (Thulin) Goad of the home, 1 son, Jeremy Goad and wife Crystal of Oronogo, MO, 2 daughters, Tracie Wilson and husband Keith of Bluffton, OH and Tanya Carder and husband Kevin of Webb City, MO, 1 brother, Charles Goad of Fairland, OK, 1 sister, Betty Cox of Durham, NC and 5 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Rev. Keith Wilson and Rev. Eugene Davis will officiate. Interment will be in NEO Memorial Veteran’s Cemetery in North Miami, OK. Military Rites will be conducted by Grove Veterans Ritual Team. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel.
