Shea McKinney

Jared Shea McKinney, 36, of Carthage, Missouri, formerly of Sarcoxie, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021 at Mercy Joplin after a sudden illness.

Shea was born on September 30, 1984 in Joplin, Missouri. He was a 2003 graduate of Sarcoxie High School. 

For more than nineteen years he attended Camp Barnabas. He was employed by Innovative Industries in Carthage and was a very dedicated employee for ten years. 








He enjoyed playing cards, gaming, fishing, as well as spending time with his family and friends. He was also a huge Chiefs fan. Shea will be truly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Patty McKinney.

Shea is survived by his mother, Vickie Ogle, of Carthage; father, Gray McKinney and wife, Melissa, of Ritchey; siblings, Rachel Johnson and husband, Chris, of Neosho, Cassy Long and husband, Steven, of Webb City, Ryan Dodd and wife, Jordyn, of Ritchey, Heather Boyce, state of Oklahoma and Makenzie Ogle of Carthage; grandparents, Dean and Charlotte Greathouse, of Sarcoxie; eight nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Shea are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, with Pastor Bob Holman officiating. Burial will follow in the Sarcoxie Cemetery. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Ryan Dodd, Chris Johnson, Derek Judd, Paul McKinney, Caleb Holman and Forest Keene. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
