(From Midland Cremation Society)Rebecca Kay “Becky” Barnett, age 68 of Pittsburg, Kansas, passed away peacefully at her home on January 5, 2025, after a long illness.
Becky was born June 4, 1956, in Pittsburg, Kansas, to Eugene and Della (Bush) Sellars. She lived most of her life in Crawford County Kansas. Becky worked at Pitt Plastic for several years before she became disabled. She loved to cook, garden, talk, read, play slot machines, bingo, and she never passed a yard sale.
Becky is survived by her son, Christopher Forkner, of the home, two grandsons, Jace Forkner and Luke Forkner of Hillsboro, Kansas, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and life-long friends.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Daniel, James P., Samuel, and James R. Sellars, her sister, Mary Stotts, nephew, Chuck Stotts, and 2 great nephews, Dalton Bartelli and Fredrick Sellars.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Midland Cremation Society.
