Jimmie Ray Pirtle, formerly of Arcola, MO, departed this life on Monday, November 4, 2019, in his home at the age of 75.
He was born on May 7, 1944 in Cedarville, MO in his childhood home to Claude and Sarah Jane (Fyfe) Pirtle. Jimmie was the youngest of four children. He graduated from Lockwood High School in 1965.
Jimmie was united in marriage to Marilyn Kay Wilson on June 19, 1965 in Greenfield, MO. He was baptized on June 11, 1967, and was a member of the Lockwood Church of God. Jimmie loved fishing, hunting, and all things outdoors. He was an avid shade tree mechanic and handyman.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Claude and Jane Pirtle; a brother, Donald Pirtle at age 6; and a sister, Jewel Dean Zagorach.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Pirtle; two daughters, Jawan Zweerink and Amy Lowery; four grandchildren, Madilynn and Ben Zweerink, Tucker and Tripp Lowery; and one brother, Jerol Lee Pirtle.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2019, in Greenfield Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Cedarville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday at 1:00 p.m. until service time in the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lockwood Church of God.
