Donna married Clarence W. Cain in Newport, Missouri on March 10, 1959. They then made their home in Kansas City, Kansas.

In 1996, she moved to Gardner to be near her family. Donna was a homemaker and treasured being with her family more than anything. She loved to feed everyone and would ask you if you had eaten when you walked in the door.

Donna liked being outdoors, working with her flowers or playing with her dog in the backyard. She enjoyed making homemade ice cream, playing cards, shopping and quilting. Her passion was going to the “boat”. If you couldn’t find her on a Wednesday, the boat was where she could be found. Her kids lovingly called Wednesday “Boat Day."

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence; sisters: Maxine Ford, Edith Totman, Norma June Minor, Davona Carnes, Reba Lee and brothers: Eugene Riley, Jack Riley and Burton Riley. She is survived by her daughters: Carmen Harman (Richard) Shawnee, Kansas, Carol Schmidt (Gregory), Gardner, Kansas and Bridgette Gray (Damian), Gardner, Kansas; brother Marvin Riley (Betty), Independence, Missouri; grandchildren Emily Harman (Stephen), Cory Harman (Nicole) and Layne Gray and four great-grandchildren.
