(From Parker Mortuary)Renea Denise Hoagland, age 58, Joplin, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at her home after a sudden illness.
Renea was born May 3, 1963 in Tacoma, Washington, daughter of the late William and Linda McGovern. She graduated from Manzano High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and worked as a nurse’s aide for several independent living centers.
She moved to Joplin in the mid 1990’s and has been with Tony since that time. She enjoyed time with Tony and their friends, riding motorcycles, and spending time together.
Survivors include her husband, Tony Hoagland whom she married in 1994; son, Michael Wilkinson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, stepson, Stefan Easter of Springfield, Missouri; brother, Richard McGovern of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sisters, Tina Danks (Dave) of Riverside, California, and Sherrie McGovern; six grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary. No formal services are planned at this time.
