Robby Boyd

Robby Gene Boyd passed away on July 10, 2025, in Joplin, Mo at the age of 58. Born on June 6, 1967, in Oklahoma City. Robby lived a life full of hard work, laughter, and love.

For 22 years, Robby worked as a Building Maintenance Engineer at Carolina Rentals in Joplin Mo, where his dedication and craftsmanship were unmatched. He started painting houses at a young age and quickly earned a reputation for being one of the fastest and most meticulous painters around. 

Whether it was construction, remodeling, or furniture finishing, Robby took immense pride in everything he touched. He could fix just about anything—and had a story to go along with it. Robby never met a stranger. His quick wit, orneriness, and mischievous charm made him unforgettable, but it was his big heart that truly defined him. Always ready to lend a helping hand, he loved his family fiercely and wore his heart on his sleeve. Years ago, he also served as a volunteer firefighter, further showing his commitment to serving others.

Robby is survived by his loving parents, Edward and Barbara Hallinan; siblings Donny Boyd (Sheryll) and Terri Pyle (Larry); nieces and nephews Christopher Barnett, Brantley Pyle, Ryan Pyle (Jordan), and Kylie Pyle; Aunt; Alycia Papale great-nieces Kaitlyn Barnett, Madilyn Barnett, Josie Pyle, and Sadie Pyle; as well as numerous extended family members and lifelong friends who will deeply miss his presence, his humor, and his stories.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Boyd

Robby’s legacy is one of kindness, hard work, and love—a life well lived and a man well loved.
