Jeanie Humphrey

Jeanie Humphrey, born Jeanie Lee Jessee on December 12, 1940, in Riverside, California, was a woman of exceptional character, a beacon of strength and resilience. She departed from us on August 5, 2025, leaving behind a world that was profoundly touched by her grace and generosity. Throughout her life, Jeanie embodied the spirit of the quote, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'" Indeed, her life was one of service and dedication to others.

Jeanie graduated from San Bernandino High School in 1957, she enjoyed cheerleading and attending her business classes and spent much of her free time watching the high school sports teams with her friends. After graduating high school she decided to work as an administrative assistant at the University of California and the University of San Francisco.

Jeanie Married the love of her life Ray Humphrey in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1966. Ray worked for PGE as the Vice President of the western portion of the U.S. which enabled them to travel to many different countries. Jeanie and Ray loved the coast which helped them decide to move to Depot Bay, Oregon in the 1990's, after living 50 years in California. Jeanie had a sophisticated love with oil paintings and was elected as the president of her art club.

She is preceded in passing by her loving Husband Ray Humphrey; parents, Henry and Ester Jessee and a sister Laverne Horton. Jeanie is survived by her Nephews, Robert (Rene) Horton, Paul (Anita) Horton, Stosh (Janese) Horton and great-nephews, Tyler and Jacob Horton.
