(From Lawson's Funeral Home)Melvina Teehee Owens, age 47, of Joplin, Missouri, went to her heavenly home on Monday, August 4, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri. She was born on January 2, 1978 in Claremore, OK to her parents Clifford Lee Teehee and Doris Jean Wolfe.
Melvina was a graduate of Jay High School, Jay, OK. She continued her education and graduated from Vatterott College Beauty School. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for most of her working life.
Melvina enjoyed going to live music events, motorcycle rallies, sporting events, and traveling with her husband and adventuring new things. She was passionate about her sons, nieces, nephews and spending as much time with them as she could. She was a standing member of the Freedom of Road Riders Local 11 in Joplin, MO and a lifetime member of The Church of Bob. Melvina will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Melvina was an Organ and Tissue Donor and gave the gift of life to recipients in her memory. She will continue to live on in others and her memory will live on in each one of us and she will never be forgotten. Until we meet again, we love you our heavenly angel.
Melvina was proceeded in death by her father Clifford Lee Teehee and both her paternal and maternal grandparents.
Melvina is survived by her husband Bob Owens of Joplin, MO; her children, Jeffory Owens of Joplin, MO and Bobby Owens of Columbia, MO; mother, Doris Wolfe of Joplin, MO; Sister’s Chevonne Davis and husband, Dell of Joplin, MO and Stacy Wilson and husband Stephen of Joplin, MO; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

Melvina’s Celebration of Life Family Visitation to greet friends will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 1:00-2:00pm at Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services Chapel, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346. Followed by Melvina’s Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 2:00pm, Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services Chapel, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346 with Pastor Jess Jones, Jr. officiating. Melvina’s service will conclude in the chapel.
