Pat Fenske

Patricia Linn Fenske, age 93, of Pierce City, Missouri passed away on August 5, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia (Pat) was born on January 15, 1932 in Linn Creek, Missouri where she was thought to be the first baby born in that community. She grew up in various towns in central Missouri before moving to Monett. She graduated as salutatorian from Monett High School Class of 1950. She met and married her husband Laverne Ben Fenske on September 2, 1950. They were married for 58 years before his passing in 2008.

Pat was a devout member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pierce City and was involved with St. Mary’s PCCW. She volunteered her time with the Pierce City’s Educational Club, St. Mary’s Marching band, and she coached youth softball. She enjoyed gardening, dancing, visits to the casino, the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs. She was known for her home cooking and welcomed many to her table.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Sophia Leuthen; brother Robert Leuthen; infant son Randall Leo Fenske; and husband Laverne Ben Fenske.

Survivors include: Sons, Steve (Barb) Fenske of Gladstone, Missouri; Rick (Joni) Fenske of Pierce City, Missouri; Benjy (Cindy) Fenske of Republic, Missouri; Chris (Jeanne) Fenske of Neosho, Missouri; Daughter, Debbie (Darrell) Lamp of Springfield, Missouri; Grandchildren, Brooke (Jeff) Heckathorn, Erin (Logan) Killingsworth & Andrew Fenske, Brett Turner & Lakan (Zach) Smith, Korby Fenske & AJ Fenske, Carter Fenske & Caleb Fenske; and Great Grandchildren Bryan Heckathorn, Benjamin Killingsworth & Leonard Killingsworth, and Emmalinn Smith.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8 at 6:30 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pierce City, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery with Father Sanoop Thomas officiating. Memorials may be made in Pat’s memory to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 200 Front Street, Pierce City, MO 65723. Arrangements are under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
