Pat Jones

Patricia A. “Pat” Jones, 82, of Parsons, passed away at 10:33 p.m., Thursday, August 7, 2025, at her home in Parsons.

She was born on February 18, 1943, in Pittsburg, to Harry and Della (Trisler) Mitchell. She grew up at Oplis and Pittsburg, and she attended Opolis and Cherokee schools, graduating from Crawford County Community High School in 1961.







She lived in Elk City, Sycamore, Independence, Springfield, MO, and Altoona before moving to Parsons. She owned and operated a daycare, worked and Grandview Products, and later at Wal-Mart. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Parsons. Pat enjoyed growing flowers and plants, sewing, reading, and playing board games with her grandchildren. She had a heart for caring for others. Her family and serving the Lord were her number one priority in her life.

She and Ronald Richardson were married on January 15, 1961. They later divorced. She and Wayne Richards were married on May 16, 1986. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2003. She and John Jones were married on November 4, 2004, and he preceded her in death on May 7, 2023.






She is survived by her children, Kathy Aragon (Robert) of Parsons, Karen Kellogg (Randy) of Parsons, Wayne Richard (Youngae) of Salina, Lori Cossou (Rob) of Goodman, MO, and Barb Faulkner (Chris) of Bella Vista, AR; 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, Allen Richardson; her daughter, Sandy Shepard; two brothers, Raymond “Sonny” Mitchell and Charles William “Billy” Mitchell; and her sister, Donna Kay Meigs.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Howell officiating. Burial will follow in the Crocker Cemetery near Pittsburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening.
