(From Midland Cremation Society)Steve Corrigan, 72, passed away on August 4, 2025, in Joplin, Missouri. Born on June 10, 1953, in Guthrie Center, Iowa, Steve lived a life marked by dedication to his country, deep love for his family, and a passion for the simple joys that brought him happiness.
Steve proudly served in the United States Army for 21 years. His long military career reflected his steadfast commitment to service and duty. After retiring from the Army, he continued to embody the values of loyalty and integrity that had guided him throughout his life.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Pamela Corrigan; his children, Steve Corrigan Jr. (Geselle) and Samantha Knudsen (Rod); grandchildren Pamela Powell (Zachary), Chance Friend, Dylan Corrigan, Katheryn Corrigan, and Damian Corrigan; and great-grandchildren Victoriah, Gabe, and Serenity. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Burl and Dorthy Corrigan.
Outside of his military service, Steve found joy in many pursuits. He loved fishing and hunting—activities that allowed him to connect with nature and enjoy peaceful moments outdoors. Racing cars brought out his adventurous spirit, while watching old westerns offered him comfort and nostalgia. Above all else, Steve cherished time spent with family and friends. His big loving heart and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Steve Corrigan’s legacy lives on through the love he shared with his family and the strength of character he demonstrated throughout his life. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 23, 2025, from 01:00 PM to 03:30 PM at Mercy park 3002 St. John’s blvd. Joplin Missouri.
