Anita Jean Hicks, age 91, Carl Junction, Missouri, passed to her heavenly home on Friday, June 3, 2016 following an extended illness.
Anita was born October 28, 1924 in Carl Junction, Missouri to the late Charles E. Frakes and Cleo Bell Foster Frakes. She worked for Elders Manufacturing as a seamstress and later drove a bus for the Carl Junction School District. Anita was a member of First Assembly of God, Carl Junction.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Donham and husband, Roger of Carl Junction; sons, Kenneth Wallace and David Tygart; brother, Wayne Frakes; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren plus several extended family and friends.
Other than her parents, Anita is preceded in death by sisters, Mary Beck and Margie Tygart and a granddaughter, Renea Donham.
A memorial visitation will be held in her honor on Tuesday, June 7 from 6-7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association in care of the mortuary.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
