Rosalee Berry, of Greenfield, MO, departed this life on Saturday, October 29, 2016, in her home at the age of 91 years.
She was born on April 13, 1925 in Stockton, MO to the late Clyde and Gladys Sayre. On January 2, 1946 in Fort Scott, KS she married Willie Webster Berry who preceded her in death on April 2, 1991. Rosalee was also preceded in death by her late son, Larry Eugene Berry, on August 13, 1964.
She was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Greenfield, MO. Rosalee was Superintendent for 10 years and taught a Sunday School class for 30 plus years. She played the piano and guitar by ear. Rosalee missed one service in 30 years. This includes Sunday morning, Sunday night, Wednesday night services, and many revivals and all community gospel singings. She always put God first in her life and then her family. Rosalee was a great witness for the Lord always everywhere she went, including all her doctors and nurses in hospital stays.
Survivors include seven children, Kyle Berry and wife Kathy, Robert Berry, Lois Berry, Janice Gray and husband Gary, Donald Berry, Deloris Snider and husband Brian, and Cheryl Rusch and husband Randy; nineteen grandchildren, Aimee O’Sullivan, Amber Nance, Autumn Timmons, Ali Storm, Wendy Wilfong, Nicholas Gray, Stacy Skinrood, Josh Solomon, Jobi Berry, Brad Shorter, Chris Shorter, Blake Snider, Tyler Snider, Fallon Stucki, Tesa Davis, Tanya Grider, Heather Neill, Jenna Horton, and Hailey Rushing; and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2016, in Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Compassus.
