Mr. Mitchell Eugene Ogle, 55, of Carthage, Missouri departed this life suddenly on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 in Carthage, Missouri.
Mitchell entered this life on February 6, 1962 in Versailles, Missouri, one of nine children born to William and Lois (Fite) Ogle. He was a graduate of Sarcoxie High School. On February 14, 2003 he was united in marriage to Vickie Greathouse at Morningside Baptist Church in Sarcoxie, Missouri. Mitchell was currently a driver for D & D Sexton, Inc. in Carthage, Missouri. He also had previously worked on the oil pipe line in New Mexico as a surveyor, and Flex-O-Lators in Carthage, Missouri for twelve years. He was a member of Reeds Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, singing, a good game of cards and playing the guitar.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, William Ogle and one sister, Diana Ogle.
Mitchell is survived by his wife Vickie; his children, Heather Boyce of Okemah, Oklahoma, MaKenzie Ogle and Jared Shea McKinney, of the home and Rachel Johnson and husband Chris of Stark City, Missouri; four grandchildren and soon to be five; his mother, Lois Ogle of Carthage, Missouri; seven brothers and sisters, Anna Newman and husband Michael of Reeds, Missouri, Mike Ogle and wife Holly of Sarcoxie, Missouri, Debbie Parker, Joplin, Missouri, Matt Ogle and wife Tina of Sarcoxie, Missouri, Mark Ogle of Avilla, Missouri, Morris Ogle of Oklahoma and Max Ogle and wife Christie of Texas; father and mother in-law, Dean and Charlotte Greathouse of Sarcoxie, Missouri; two brothers in-law, Richard Greathouse and wife Lynn of Sarcoxie, Missouri and Rob Greathouse and wife Cyndi of Sarcoxie, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mitchell are 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2017 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, Missouri with Pastor Bob Holman officiating.
Burial will follow at Cave Springs Cemetery in Sarcoxie, Missouri.
Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Clayton Greninger, Matt Ogle, Mark Ogle, Colten Ogle, Blaine Ogle and Steve Corum. Honorary pallbearers are Rob Greathouse, Richard Greathouse, Shea McKinney, Chris Johnson, Mike Ogle and Curtis Greathouse. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 2-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
