Robert Dale Cook, age 65, Joplin, passed away Monday, May 8, 2017.
He was born January 23, 1952 in Pittsburg, KS to the late Homer Merle Cook and Ruth Ann Bybee Cook.
Robert married Sandra L. Knapp, in 1975, at Miami, Oklahoma, she preceded him death July 24, 2012.
He was a career truck driver, driving 11 years for CFI and 20 years with TDC trucking, attaining the six million mile safe driver award.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Pat Glascow, and a sister, Wilma Meeks.
Survivors include three sons, Gregory Cook and his wife, Johnna, of Joplin, Casey Cook and his wife, Meg, of Orange County, Virginia, and Corey Cook of Pittsburg, Kansas; a daughter, Barbara Cook-Andrews of Joplin; nine grandchildren, and a trusted K-9 companion, Brownie.
Graveside services will be Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Crocker Cemetery south of Pittsburg, Kansas with Pastor Richard Nichols officiating. Visitation will be Friday, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
