John Patrick 'Pat' Williams, age 83, Sand Springs, Oklahoma, passed away suddenly at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at his home.
Pat was born June 5, 1933 in Galena, Kansas to the late Raymond J. Williams and Myrtle M. Carlisle Williams and had lived in Sand Springs since 2006.
Pat was a true entrepreneur. He was a cattle farmer; owner and operator of Razorback Roller Rink in Rogers, Arkansas for several years; owner of a storage facility and travel agency in Arkansas and owner and operator of Rocky Branch Marina on Beaver Lake for several years. He moved to Joplin in 2000, and owned and operated the historic Route 66 Speedway until 2004. In 2006, he and his wife moved to Tulsa where he ventured into real estate and worked at Williams Asset Management Company until 2015. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #501 for many years. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Pat married Elizabeth Harding on July 6, 1967 in Carson City, Nevada. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include his children, Michael Williams and his wife, Michelle, Rogers, Arkansas, Connie Williams, Pea Ridge, Arkansas, Jan Johnson, Joplin, Missouri, Tanya Gogue and her husband, Felix, London, England, Todd Williams and his wife, Kimberly, Sand Springs, Oklahoma; one brother, Ray Williams and his wife Betty of Joplin, Missouri; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren and two fur babies, Bella and Pepper.
In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by a brother, Jim; and son-in-law, Wayne Johnson.
A private graveside committal is planned at Lowell Cemetery, Lowell, Kansas.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
