(From Ozark Funeral Home)Donald Aubrey Brackney, Sr., 73 years of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at his residence.
Donald entered this life on May 8, 1947 in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas, born to the late, Kenneth and Grace (Traxel) Brackney.
He worked for MODOT as the area foreman for Southwest McDonald County for 28 years. Donald also worked for 10 years as a booking consultant for Canada North Lodge, booking hunting and fishing trips to Canada. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and watching his cows.
He was preceded in death his father; Kenneth Brackney; mother and stepfather, Grace and Leander “Lee” Prelle; brother, Douglas Brackney.
Donald is survived by two sons, Donald Aubrey Brackney, Jr. of Grove, Oklahoma and Coleman Duke Brackney of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas; a sister, June Murray of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside funeral services for Donald will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the Butler Creek Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas. Pastor JR “Joe Bob” Morgan will officiate.
