Doris Bishop

Doris M. Bishop was born May 2, 1954 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Russell and Hazel (Mason) Keiser. She entered into rest, in the comfort of her home, May 8, 2021 at the age of 67. 

Doris was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Neosho High School, class of 1972. She owned and operated Quik Chek convenience store in Neosho for eleven years before obtaining her real estate license in 1997.






 

 
She was awarded the Rookie of the Year award in 1997; honored as realtor of the year in 2003 and was the recipient of the Gold Award for exceeding $5,000,000 in sales each year. She sold over $100,000,000 in property during her career before retiring in January, 2019. Doris loved her cats and was an avid collector of antiques. 

Even with all of her accomplishments, Doris was most proud of her son and granddaughter who were the center of her life. 

Doris and Rick Bishop were married on April 2, 1976 at Miami, Oklahoma and he survives of the home. 

In addition to her husband, who was also her best friend, she is survived by her son, Daniel Musgrove of Neosho; granddaughter, Alexis Charter of Joplin; her extended Bishop family and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Russell.

Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Monday to sign the guest register. Private family services will be held. Contributions in memory of Doris may be made to Faithful Friends, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850.
