Donald Ansen Henry, who was born on September 9, 1960, in Pingelap Atoll, Micronesia, passed away on June 8, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri. He lived a life marked by kindness, humor, generosity, and deep faith, and he will be remembered with love by all who knew him.

Donald was a Christian man whose life reflected the values he held close to his heart. He earned an associate degree in engineering and went on to build a long and dedicated career as an engineer and driller, serving the same company for 38 years. His strong work ethic, steady presence, and dependable nature earned the respect of his coworkers and all who had the privilege of working alongside him. He was known as a wise and caring man, and his warm personality made him someone people naturally trusted and enjoyed being around.

Those who knew Donald will remember him as a kind and funny man who brought joy wherever he went. He had a generous spirit and was known for giving more than he took. Helping others came naturally to him, whether he was assisting a family member, a friend, or even a stranger in need. His compassion and willingness to lend a hand left a lasting impression on many lives. Everyone loved him and enjoyed his company, and his presence will be deeply missed.

Donald loved the simple joys of life and found happiness in the things that connected him to his roots and his faith. He loved fishing, diving, and wrestling with his brothers, and he carried with him a deep love for the island life in which he was raised. He also enjoyed reading the Bible and praising God, and his devotion to his faith was an important part of who he was.

He is survived by his children, Donna Lyn Andon, Donald Henry Jr., Romeo Joseph, Daniel Henry, and Darnell Henry, as well as Diann Andon. He is also survived by his brothers, Phillip Handy, Kenery Handy, Welle Welle, and Jim Handy, and by his sisters, Elrer George, Nanette Jose, and Derko Jack. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lois Andon; his father, Daniel Handy; his mother, Erko Handy; his brothers, Nobvo Hendy and Hendris Handy; and his grand-niece, Erianna Jack.

Chapel services will be Friday, June 19, 2026 at the FMCC Church in Neosho, Missouri. Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2026 at the Howard Cemetery in Goodman, Missouri. The family will receive friends beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the FMCC Church in Neosho, Missouri on Thursday, June 20, 2026. Arrangements are under the care of Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
