(From Clark Funeral Home)Grady Charles Shelton passed away peacefully at his home on June 12, 2026. He was 90 years old.
Grady was born on November 15, 1935, in Asheville, North Carolina, to Charles Irvine Shelton and Maudie Jessie (Reece) Shelton. He graduated from high school and served in the United States Army. He spent many years as an over-the-road truck driver.
Grady would often be found sitting on the porch enjoying the sunshine, watching the news—especially Fox News—or taking drives.
He was of Christian faith a true believer in the Lord.
Grady had a lifelong interest in aviation and was a pilot himself, enjoying all things related to flying. He also spent time working on the cattle farm at his mother home near Goodman.
He is survived by his loving family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 5:30pm - 7:00pm at Clark Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Mayfield Cemetery.
