Judy Petty

Judy Ann Petty, 76, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on June 10, 2026, in Joplin, MO. She was born on July 30, 1949, in Joplin to the late Floyd and Lucille (Price) Coleman.

Family was always at the heart of Judy’s life. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who could always be found running her children to one sporting event after another and later, never missing a game of her grandchildren’s. She took great pride in being present for the people she loved, and she made countless memories through those busy days and special moments. Her family knew they could always count on her support, encouragement, and unwavering love.








She loved the holidays and the joy they brought to her home and family gatherings. She enjoyed going to the casino, poker, fishing, camping, and spending time at the lake with her husband.

A devout Christian, Judy held her faith close throughout her life. She loved her church, College Heights Christian Church, and found comfort, strength, and fellowship there. Her faith was an important part of who she was, and it guided the way she lived, loved, and cared for others. She was a woman of quiet strength and sincere devotion, and her Christian witness was evident in the way she treated those around her.

She worked at Mercantile Bank for several years, where she was known for her dependable nature and steady work ethic. She later worked at Famous Barr until her retirement, completing her career with the same dedication and grace that she brought to every part of her life.

Those who knew Judy will remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her strong faith, and her deep devotion to her family. Her presence brought warmth and stability to those around her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.








Judy is survived by her children, Brian Petty, Travis Petty (Theresa), and Brandon Petty; grandchildren, Kalyn Moser, Fisher Petty, Jax Petty, Blake Petty, Brandon Petty, and Madden Petty; great-grandchildren, Millie Moser, and Mabel Moser; siblings, Barbara Darby, Josie Coleman, and Dennis Coleman; and her great best friend, Darlene Sprague.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lee Petty; siblings, Dwight Coleman, Dickie Coleman, and Herby Coleman.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Osborne Memorial Park Cemetery. The family invites friends for a time of visitation on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel in Joplin, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of your choice, in care of the mortuary.

Arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, Mo.
