Lois Evans

Lois Lorraine Busch Evans was born on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1923 in Oklahoma, the daughter of Herman Busch and Emma Dearmore. She entered into rest on New Year's Day, January 1, 2021 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 97. 

She went to grade school in Boone, Oklahoma and high school in Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. She worked at Tinker Air Force Base in the ammunitions department during the war. 

She married James M. Evans on December 10, 1946 in Fort Scott, Kansas and they moved to the Fairview area where they farmed. Lois was always active in the farming, they operated a dairy farm for a number of years, raised chickens and always had beef cattle. 








 Lois always loved raising animals - she raised sheep, quail, rabbits and dogs in addition to always having a large garden. She loved doing hand work and making quilts for all of her family. 

Lois is survived by her four children, Gloria Wilson and husband, Larry of Fairview, MO, Jerry Evans and wife, Diana of Fairview, MO, Rita Moore and husband, Glenn of Joplin, MO and Leta Higgs and husband, Paul of Cassville, MO; many, many, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers, Olan, Ogle, Lester and James Busch and sister, Freda Switzer.
