Maellen Bradshaw

Maellen "Mae" Prier Bradshaw, passed away on December 24, 2023, at the age of 64. Her life was a testament to compassion, kindness, and a deep love for her family and interests. 

Born on April 19, 1959, in Monett, MO, to Leslie and Helen Prier, she graduated from East Newton High School in 1977 and later pursued her passion for caregiving, earning a nursing degree from Franklin Technical College in 2001. Her commitment to caring for others defined her life's work. 






Maellen's heart was filled with love for various passions, including horses, arts, and music. Her cooking skills were legendary, and it brought joy to many people. She was a person of diverse interests and talents. A devoted member of the Racine Christian Church, Maellen found solace and strength in her faith. 

Her marriage to Kent Bradshaw on April 21, 1979, was a beautiful union that endured through the years, creating a loving family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth cherished by her surviving family: her son Gabriel Bradshaw, siblings Dan Prier and wife Lisa of Fayetteville, AR, Linda Haught and husband Benny of Stark City, MO, and DeAnna Stafford and husband Jack of Granby; sisters-in-law Alice Bradshaw, of Stark City, and Louise Pawlenty and husband Ron of Minnesota; brother-in-law Clinton Bradshaw of Cayuga Falls, OH; and many nieces, nephews, and many others who held her dear. Maellen's presence will be deeply missed by her family. 

She is preceded in death by her parents.






 

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Maellen's life will be held at the Racine Christian Church at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 29, 2023. A visitation will be held before the service from 9:00 to 10:00 am.
