Jack Leon Burnett, Jr. of Miami, OK passed from this life Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at his home. He was 69.

Jack was born May 13, 1954 in Miami, OK to Jack Leon and Bobbe (North) Burnett, Sr. He had lived in Miami for the past 24 years moving from Columbus, KS. He graduated from Quapaw High School Class of 1973. Jack was a butcher and owned and operated Chetopa Foods in Chetopa, KS and was a member of Zincville Baptist Church in Picher, OK.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents.








Survivors include his wife Norma Faye (Adamson) Burnett of the home, 2 sons, Jackie Wayne Burnett of Miami, OK and Jessie Eugene Burnett and wife Amanda of Miami, OK, 1 step-son, Kraig Wade Keely and wife Amanda of Miami, OK, 1 brother, Randy Burnett of Norman, OK, 4 sisters, Shirley Edens of Miami, OK, Betty Jean Cole of Miami, OK, Teresa Dixon of Quapaw, Ok and Missy Beets of Webb City, MO, 4 grandchildren, Emma Burnett, Natalie Burnett, Lake Burnett and Eastin Burnett and 2 step-grandchildren, Gaiton – Norman Keely and Phoenix – Grayson Keely.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2024 at Fairview Cemetery, east of Chetopa, KS. Pastor Danny Brandon will officiate. 








Lake Burnett, Corey Burnett, Paul Edens, Gaiton – Norman Keely, Jason Dixon and Jason Kelly will serve as pallbearers. Eastin Burnett, Chris Hughes, Rick Carter and Scott Kasjaka will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK.
