John Jackson

John Francis Jackson, 82 of Everton, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024. He was born April 5, 1941, in Ozark, Missouri to Fred and Florence (Viles) Jackson. On May 22, 1979, John and Joyce Ball were united in marriage and shared over 44 years together.

John was a man of many talents and hobbies. He enjoyed fishing, fish fries, camping, square dancing, and very active in the community such as serving on the Everton School Board, being a member of the Everton Booster Club, and Saddle Club. He also liked woodworking and attended many craft shows in the area.






 

John and Joyce traveled to many different states with friends on their Goldwing Motorcycle. They also enjoyed races, especially open wheel racing, at Lucas Oil Speedway and he tolerated NASCAR for Joyce. They owned a grocery store for several years in Everton, he also was a bus driver for Everton and maintenance at Willard Schools, he loved being with the kids. Above all, John loved his family and spending time with them.

John is survived by his wife, Joyce Jackson; children, Johnna Teel and husband Paul, (John and Becky); Jim Jackson (Ashley, Reece, Gavin, and Hanna); Kim Woods and husband David (Bradon & Amy Keenan, Kaily, and Kash; Keshia & Coty Mia, Ivy); Tyler. Kenneth Ball and wife Kristi (Greyson); many nieces, nephews, family members and many friends.








John was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Florence Jackson; sisters, Beulah McCoy, Ruth Lewis, Helen Angus; brothers, Jackie, Ralph Jr., Charles, and Bill Jackson.

Visitation will at 1:00PM Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Liberty Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 2:00PM, at the church with burial to follow at Liberty Cemetery, Everton, MO. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Judes Hospital and may be left or mailed to the funeral home, Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, PO Box 217, Ash Grove, MO 65604.
